what to expect

In this one-to-one therapy session, we’ll combine two transformative practices: Yoga Nidra and Reiki healing. Yoga Nidra, often referred to as ‘Yogic Sleep,’ is a deeply relaxing practice where your body rests in a state of complete stillness while your mind remains gently aware. This state allows us to connect consciously with the innate wisdom and intelligence within, opening the door to profound healing. Research has shown that Yoga Nidra can alleviate symptoms of PMS, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. There’s also evidence suggesting it helps stabilise blood sugar levels in people with diabetes and can relieve symptoms of PTSD. In addition to these therapeutic effects, Yoga Nidra helps ease muscular tension, improve focus, develop intuition, and open you up to your true nature. In our session, we first have a short discussion on your current physical, mental, emotional and spiritual space, and then together set an intention. We’ll then move into Yoga Nidra, allowing your body and mind to surrender into a receptive state. From this relaxed place, I will introduce Reiki—a form of energy healing that channels universal life energy (known as “ki, chi or prana”) through the hands. My hands will either gently rest on or hover above your body, focusing on areas where energy may be blocked. Reiki works with your body’s energy centers, or chakras, to restore balance and promote overall well-being. This combination of practices aims to help your energy flow freely, creating space for healing, relaxation, and the release of discomfort. Whether you’re seeking whole-body healing or addressing specific areas of tension, this session will guide you toward a state of inner harmony. We can also discuss beforehand integrating crystals, sound frequencies, tapping and breathwork - if it aligns with your needs. Sessions can be 60, 90, or 120 minutes long, depending on the depth of healing you wish to experience.
